Lexington - Kentucky Derby Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Lexington. It's easy to fly into Blue Grass Airport (LEX). In the evening, relax at the hotel or take a quick cab ride to downtown Lexington and enjoy the areas best restaurant and bar district.
Day 2: Take a horse farm and bourbon distillery tour! Our Lexington Derby tour includes a full day of hosted touring to active and retired horse farms. We enjoy lunch and then we head out again to taste the area's most popular export: Bourbon!
Day 3: Derby Day! It's just a little over an hour drive from Lexington to Churchill Downs. Our Derby tour includes round trip transportation on a luxury motor coach and a boxed lunch. We specialize in Kentucky Derby tickets located throughout the top seating areas of Churchill Downs. We also have access to VIP Hospitality including the Turf Club, Gold Club, and Museum Hospitality featuring air conditioned indoor seating, gourmet food stations, top shelf liquor, private betting areas, and live entertainment. After the final races of the day are concluded, we will transfer you back to the hotel.
Bonus Day Idea - Kentucky Horse Park. Located just 10 minutes from the Embassy Suites Lexington, this is a park that is a must-see for all ages. Plan to spend at minimum 3 hours to fully experience the exhibits including Experience the Hall of Champions and Show, the International Museum of the Horse, the Breeds Barn Show, and horse drawn trolley rides. There's also horse back riding and a restaurant onsite.
