Orange Bowl - Hard Rock Stadium - Miami, Florida
The Orange Bowl is played annually at Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami, FL. Hard Rock Stadium, formerly Sun Life Stadium, has been home to the Miami Dolphins since 1987 and was the home of the Florida Marlins from 1993-2011. Hard Rock is also the home to the University of Miami Hurricanes football team. The Marlins have since moved on to play in Marlins Ballpark and are now officially the Miami Marlins. In addition to the regular scheduled events at Hard Rock Stadium, it has been host to 5 Super Bowls and 2 World Series.
The Orange bowl tradition has lasted for over 75 years, starting in 1935. The Orange Bowl has hosted the champions of many different conferences throughout its history. Today, under the current College Football Playoff system, the Orange Bowl will host a Semi-Final game in 2021 and again in 2024. An Orange Bowl travel package is the best way to experience the game with pre-game activities, game tickets, and premium hotel lodging.
Hard Rock Stadium
Ground was broken on Hard Rock Stadium in 1985, and opened on August 16, 1987. The stadium cost $115 million dollars to construct and features a natural grass playing surface. The stadium has been used to host numerous events including Super Bowls, World Series, and Wrestlemania. Despite hosting 5 Super Bowls, not one of them featured a Florida based NFL team.
Hard Rock Stadium has also completed a $350 million dollar renovation of the entire stadium. The renovations will include an open-air canopy over the stadiums seating areas, corner video boards, and additional suites which include luxury "pods." These renovations create a true luxury experience for all attendees and enhance the overall stadium experience at Hard Rock Stadium. One of the new fan favorite features of the renovated stadium include four new video boards at each corner of the stadium.
