In 2016 the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl will act as the College Football Semi-Final game on Dec. 31, 2016. The matchup will determine who progresses onward to the College Football National Championship Game in Tampa, Fl. The Peach Bowl is considered on the most popular bowl games of the year with soaring viewership and 17 straight sellouts. The past winner of the Peach Bowl was the Houston Cougars who defeated the Florida State Seminoles 38-24.
The Peach Bowl is hosted out of Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Dome. The Georgia Dome is also home to professional football’s Atlanta Falcons. The dome has also played host to ACC Basketball Tournaments, the Final Four, SEC Championship game, and the Super Bowl. A new “state of the art” stadium is currently under construction and is set to open in 2017. The new Mercedes-Benz stadium will be host to future Peach Bowl games.
The city of Atlanta, GA is one of the most vibrant cities in the southeastern U.S. and holds numerous world famous sights. Stroll through the Centennial Olympic Park, which was the cornerstone of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. One notable part of the park is the Fountain of Rings, which is a synchronized water sculpture designed to entertain park goers.

Another popular Atlanta destination is the Georgia Aquarium, which holds 10 million gallons of water and is the second largest aquarium in the world. Notable pieces of the aquarium’s collection include whale sharks, manta rays, and whale sharks. These fish reside through five full galleries of the Georgia Aquarium that multiple viewing stations and tunnels.
