2022 College Football National Championship

Lucas Oil Stadium – Indianapolis, IN

This season's National Championship game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, the home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.  Seating can fit upwards of 70,000 sports fans.  The stadium has played host to Super Bowl XLVI as well as NCAA Final Fours and other marquee events. This state of the art sports stadium  opened on August 16, 2008. Notable features of Lucas Oil Stadium include the facility's retractable roof which can be opened or closed in less than 11 minutes and a retractable north window which can be opened to show views of downtown Indianapolis.
