Rose Bowl – Pasadena, California
The Rose Bowl will be played in Pasadena, California home of the Rose Bowl Stadium. This historic national landmark is the home of the UCLA Bruins and has been host to a wide variety of events, including events at the 1932 and 1984 Olympics. In addition, the Rose Bowl has hosted the Super Bowl five times, even though it has never been the full-time home stadium of any NFL team. How far is Pasadena from Los Angeles? Pasadena is about 12 miles inland (east) of downtown Los Angeles, making a stay in the LA area good choice for lodging.
Our host hotel, the MdR Doubletree by Hilton is located just 7 miles from LAX airport and is located on the Pacific Ocean. The marina is home to daily and nightly boat cruises, fishing boat rentals, and dinner cruises.
Nicknamed "The Granddaddy of Them All", the Rose Bowl was first played in 1902, and is the oldest bowl game. Currently, the game is part of the College Football Playoffs (CFP) Quarterfinals, meaning that the game determines who advances to the College Football Semi Finals. The winner of the SemiFinals will advance to the College Football National Championship.
The Rose Bowl is one of the most exciting sporting events to attend in all of sports, because of all the festivities going on before the game. The Tournament of Roses Parade, a Rose Bowl Tradition, is held every year before the game, and is one of the largest New Year's Day celebrations in the country, as around 1 million people watch the parade on its route. Be sure to book your Rose Bowl travel package today to take part in this New Year's tradition.
