NHL All-Star Game -- Nationwide Arena, Columbus
The 2013 NHL All-Star Game will be held at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be the first NHL All Star game hosted by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The NHL’s top players will be in Columbus as the Eastern Conference takes on the Western Conference. There is much more to the All Star Weekend then the game. The young stars game, skills competition and a star-studded concert featuring some of the most popular acts in the world kick off the weekend of events. The skills competition is typically a fan favorite at NHL All-Star weekend, it includes: fastest skater, hardest shot, shot accuracy, and a puck handling obstacle course. Along with hosting the 2013 All Star game, Nationwide Arena has played host to the Arnold Classic. The Arnold Classic is a fitness competition that was founded by the former Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The arena holds other events, such as NCAA Basketball tournament games, PBR events, MMA fights, and other entertainment. |
