It’s a new year, and was time for a new adventure. So, I packed my bags and headed of to the Tournament of Roses Parade!
Since I founded the company nearly 20 years ago, I’ve been to a lot of events. What struck me was throughout the entire Sports Traveler Rose Parade Tour, I felt consistently happy and impressed. The warm weather, the beautiful scenery of Southern California, and the Parade Day itself made for an event to remember forever.
Marina del Rey - The True California
I started off by welcoming our guests to the Hotel MdR Doubletree in Marina Del Rey, California hotel I handpicked because I love this little beachfront community. Are you a soccer fan? Well I guess most soccer fans around the world refer to it as football but to save confusion I'll just stick with calling it soccer. Besides, its pretty clear that there is only one sport of football in this country. Anyways, if you are a soccer fan then you should know all about the Gold Cup. If you don't know about the Gold Cup then you might need to re-commit your fan-hood and get with the program. The Gold Cup is a very popular event and crucial in determining the best team in North America.

The Cotton Bowl Classic has been a staple of the bowl series since the first annual game in 1937. On January 6, 2012 this prestigious bowl will return to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX for the third time. Last year's Cotton Bowl featured a great match-up between the LSU Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies. In the end LSU prevailed 41-24 but it was an exciting game throughout.

I decided to add this exciting new section of our site to highlight and introduce all new types of sports travel to you. These new travel ideas include everything from behind the scenes tours at the Tournament of Roses Parade before the Rose Bowl to Kentucky Derby Horse Farm Tours.
My favorite find are definately the Baseball Greats Cruises! These cruises all start from Ft. Lauderdale and sail for 7 or 10 nights. While on board ship both adults and kids can take part in baseball clinics, batting practices, and even coaching from some of baseball's best past and current players. Past attendees have included Rick Burleson, Cookie Rojas, Andre Dawson, Gary Peters, Amos Otis, Vida Blue, Bill Russell, Willie Horton, Earl Weaver, Randy Hundley, Rudy May, Rennie Stennet, Jack Billingham, Ed Kranepool, Gorman Thomas , Stan Bahnsen, and others. The Penn State Nittany Lions are most likely heading to the 2009 Rose Bowl. Now, where will the rest of the top teams head for Bowl Season? Some of our experts have these predictions:
Rose Bowl - This is the easiest bowl to determine at this point. We already know Penn State is going. They will be facing off against the winner of the Pac-10, Oregon State or USC. Even though USC has a better overall record, both teams have the same conference record with Oregon State having the tiebreaker. With a victory over #23 Oregon, we will be seeing an Oregon State/Penn State Rose Bowl.
Orange Bowl - With the Orange Bowl, we typically see the winner of the Big East play the winner of the ACC. The Big East is a more obvious right now. Cincinnati is currently leading the conference over West Virginia. With a victory this weekend, Cincy will clinch their BCS berth. West Virginia will need to win its two final games and a Cincinnati loss to go to the Orange Bowl.
The ACC is up for the grabs. We don't even
