This 1.5 mile track is located in the northern most part of Fort Worth, TX. This incredibly fast track is owned by Speedway Motorsports Inc. and is also known as the Great American Speedway. The track opened up in 1996 and has played host for 2 races on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit since that time. Traditionally the track has hosted one race in the spring and one in the fall. Along will fielding all divisions in NASCAR, the track is also the annual host of the Firestone 550k Indycar Series race in June.
Texas Motor Speedway is considered one of the fasted tracks in the U.S and it is a fan favorite among all race fans. Its close proximity to Dallas and Arlington also make the location ideal for travelers interested in getting more than just a racing experience. *Carl Edward holds the track record with three career victories. |
