The itinerary:

The first 5 nights are spent at the University of  Pretoria High Performance Centre (HPC). This residential elite sporting facility has been used to train for competition by English Premier League teams, International cricket teams and Super 14 Rugby teams. During our stay, we will have full access to the HPC training facilities. Accommodations are on site at HPC and boasts spectacular views of the sporting grounds and surrounding Pretoria. Visitors stay in comfort while being offered use of the center’s full spectrum of services.

We take you into Soweto to play a match, experience the history of the apartheid museum and see the home of Nelson Mandela. You will play a warm up fixture at the HPC against South African opposition and attend 3 FIFA World Cup matches at Ellis Park, Loftus Versfeld, and the brand new Soccer City, home to the FIFA World Cup Opening and Final games. Along the way, there is plenty of opportunity for sightseeing including gold mine tours, The Lion Park,  and The Cradle of Human Kind.

From the HPC, it’s on to Cape Town for 7 nights. Here we stay in the boarding houses of some of South Africa’s finest private schools nestled at the foot of legendary Table Mountain. The tournament will be played over 3 days with teams expected from Europe, Brazil, USA, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.

On non-tournament days, there is chance to visit Robben Island, Nelson Mandela’s prison home for 25 years; climb Table Mountain; venture out into the veldt to see the “Big Five” (Lion, Leopard, Elephant , Buffalo and Rhino); explore the Cape of Good Hope, Haut Bay, Seal island and more.

Also, during the time in Cape Town, it is anticipated that match tickets to the FIFA World Cup Quarter Final (July 03) and the FIFA World Cup Semi Final (July 06) may become available. Prior to departure from the USA, we will give you a guide to the costs of these tickets so if they do become available for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
