Ring Of Honor Round-Up

On November 6, 2011 the Dallas Cowboys will induct 3 new members into their hallowed ring of honor.  The ceremony will take place on that Sunday during the pregame festivities.  The three players being inducted were all key parts of Super Bowl teams.  Charles Harley was a terror at defensive end for the Cowboys and rival 49'ers.  Haley collected 100 sacks in his career and is the only player in NFL history that was a member of 5 Super Bowl champion teams ('89, '90, '93, '94, '96).

His teammate Larry Allen will also join the elite "Ring of Honor".  Larry Allen was a dominant guard in the NFL for over 10 years.  He was selected to 11 Pro Bowls and still holds the franchise record for Pro Bowl appearances.  The last inductee this year will be wide receiver Drew Pearson.  Pearson was a consistent receiver when the position was much different than it is today.  Pearson played for only the Cowboys during his 11 year career.  He was a member of the Super Bowl XII champion team that beat the Denver Broncos 27-10 at the Superdome in Louisiana.

This will be an emotional day for past and present Cowboys' players, coaches, and fans.  These three men where staples on championship teams and on November 6th their legacies will  be implanted into the foundation of Cowboys Stadium.  Amidst the celebratory ceremony, the Cowboys will later be taking on the visiting Seattle Seahawks for each of their week 8 match-ups.
